After only one run in their last game, Luella made sure to put some runs up on the board against Stone Mountain on Wednesday. The Lions were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Pirates. Considering the Lions have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Myles Gamble was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. He has become a key player for Luella: the team is 12-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 4-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alijah Paige, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Luella was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Luella's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Stone Mountain, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16-1.

Luella will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Pirates: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
