The Chariho Chargers will challenge the Stonington Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chariho will be strutting in after a victory while Stonington will be coming in after a loss.
If Chariho beats Stonington with eight runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Chargers came out on top against Middletown by a score of 8-3 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

04/17/25 vs Narragansett | 2 |
Adam Carpenter was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Chariho is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Carpenter was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Rohan Downing, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Luke Hoffman was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Stonington unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bacon Academy by a score of 6-5.
Jace Wolfradt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Wolfradt, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Stonington's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Chariho, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Chariho beat Stonington 7-2 in their previous matchup back in March of 2019. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
