 Despite the  loss, Monrovia saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Ryder Bain rushed for 160 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Bedford North Lawrence was led to victory by  Dayson Kirby and  Brody Horton.  Kirby threw for 220 yards and four  TDs, while  Horton gained 110 total yards and two touchdowns. Kirby has been hot recently, having  posted three or more  passing touchdowns the last four times he's  played.
This is the second loss in a row for Monrovia and  nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record  this season.
 Monrovia has already played their next matchup,  a  40-18  defeat against Indian Creek on the 17th. As for Bedford North Lawrence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  20-17  loss against Columbus East on the 17th.
