It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Linfield Christian Lions had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Chargers as they made off with a 5-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Linfield Christian, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.
They hit Charter Oak with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Jasmine Hankins Shelton (2),
Julianne Richter,
Savannah Barger, and
Emma Pingree.
Linfield Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7-2 record this season. As for Charter Oak, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12-2.
Linfield Christian will head out on the road to take on St. Genevieve at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Genevieve is coming into the matchup with six straight wins at home, so Linfield Christian is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. Charter Oak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
