Despite the loss, Coventry Christian saw an underclassman step up: Caitlin Cianci scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That was a full 41.7% of Coventry Christian's points, marking the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Tinkey, who scored two points along with nine rebounds.
Coventry Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for West Shore Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.
Coventry Christian will square off against the at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Varsity Opponent is out to stop a 11-game streak of losses at home. West Shore Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th.
