Kings Christian is 9-1 against Laton since December of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Kings Christian Crusaders will head out on the road to challenge the Laton Mustangs at 5:45 p.m. Kings Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Kings Christian beat Wonderful College Prep Academy 35-28.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Laton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tranquillity and snuck past 15-12. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but Laton was the better team in the second half.
Laton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Gabriella Alvarado, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and four blocks, and Valerie Silva, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Kings Christian pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Laton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.
Everything went Kings Christian's way against Laton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Kings Christian made off with a 53-28 victory. Will Kings Christian repeat their success, or does Laton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
