The Marshall Eagles's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. It was close, but they capped 2023 with a 55-53 victory over Pasadena.
It was another big night for Destiny Ihiaso, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 rebounds. The game was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Madelyn Degooyer was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Pasadena, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.
Marshall will take on San Gabriel Academy at 11:00 a.m. on January 8, 2024. As for Pasadena, they will head out on the road to face off against El Segundo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
