The Norristown Eagles suffered their biggest defeat since December 15, 2023 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Spring-Ford on the road and fell 73-20. Norristown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-9.
Anna Azzara was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with four steals for Spring-Ford. Azzara hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie L Pettinelli, who scored four points along with 12 assists and nine rebounds.
Norristown bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Spring-Ford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Norristown will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Upper Perkiomen at 6:45 p.m. As for Spring-Ford, they will head out on the road to square off against Pottstown at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Pottstown comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
