Softball Recap: Wahoo Wins Going Away Against Platteview

Wahoo won the last time they faced Platteview and things went their way on Saturday too. The Warriors blew past the Trojans 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Karryn Eddie and Addison Smart did most of the damage at the plate: Eddie went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Smart went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Smart a new career-high. Bryer Hancock was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Wahoo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Platteview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-8.

Wahoo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Ashland-Greenwood on the 27th. As for Platteview, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Ralston on the 27th.
