After flying high against the Red Bluff Spartans on Wednesday, the Fall River Bulldogs came back down to earth. Fall River fell just short of Enterprise by a score of 45-43. The matchup was a 15-15 toss-up at halftime, but Fall River was outscored by Enterprise in the second.
Despite the loss, Fall River saw an underclassman step up: Reese Cassity scored 13 points. Cassity is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hailey Valdez, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Leading Enterprise to victory were Lila Mcdaniels and Tianna Lowe. Mcdaniels dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds, while Lowe scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for her. Nikai Johnson was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Fall River has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Enterprise, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
