Port Allegany is 10-0 against Galeton since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Port Allegany Gators will get right back to it and host the Galeton Tigers at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Port Allegany's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Galeton has been banged up by 18 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Port Allegany beat Oswayo Valley 44-39.

Port Allegany relied on the efforts of Ella Moses, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists, and Brynn Evens, who posted 13 points along with seven boards and four blocks. Moses has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Errick, who scored nine points.
Port Allegany smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Galeton took a blow against Coudersport on Friday, falling 67-15. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 715th, while the Falcons are ranked 297th).
Lynlee Basile was Galeton's leading scorer, having posted 12 points.
Port Allegany's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Galeton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-20.
Wednesday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Port Allegany has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 33.9 boards per game. It's a different story for Galeton, though, as they've been averaging only 12 rebounds. Given Port Allegany's sizable advantage in that area, Galeton will need to find a way to close that gap.
