The Constitution Generals were the 42-37 winner over the Parkway Center City Bulldogs when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Constitution took a 46-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parkway Center City on Monday.
Parkway Center City found their leader in underclassman Jessica Canty, who almost dropped a triple-double on 32 points, nine rebounds, and 12 steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Canty has scored at least a third of Parkway Center City's points. Another player making a difference was Adrian Weaver, who scored five points along with ten rebounds and five blocks.
Constitution's loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.5 points per game. As for Parkway Center City, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Constitution will be playing in front of their home fans against George Washington at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkway Center City, they will head out on the road to challenge Conwell-Egan Catholic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
