It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Higley had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed past the Skyline Coyotes to the tune of 58-28. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Higley found their leader in sophomore Cadence Murdough, who posted seven points in addition to 12 boards and seven steals. Murdough is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Kerns, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 13 points and three steals.
Higley's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Skyline, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Coming up, Higley will head out to face off against Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on February 27th. Cesar Chavez knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Higley likes a good challenge. Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
