Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fortuna). They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Point Arena Pirates on Saturday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Alex Sharkey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. Cage Collins was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Fortuna's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Point Arena, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Fortuna will welcome St. Bernard's at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. St. Bernard's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Fortuna's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Point Arena, they will venture away from home to face off against Technology at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
