The Spring-Ford Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 71-22 victory over Methacton at home. The win was nothing new for Spring-Ford as they're now sitting on four straight.
It was another big night for Mackenzie L pettinelli, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Katie Tiffan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Methacton lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Abby Arnold. Despite the final result, she scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Arnold scored a full 40.9% of Methacton's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Methacton struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Spring-Ford racked up 20 assists.
Spring-Ford pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.77 points. As for Methacton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
Spring-Ford will head out on the road to face off against Imhotep Charter at 10:50 a.m. on Sunday. Imhotep Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Spring-Ford is ranked 13th). As for Methacton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boyertown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Boyertown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Friday.
