Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Hebron Christian

Hebron Christian barely beat Bethlehem Christian Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Knights on Monday. Nine seems to be a good number for the Lions as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Hebron Christian got a great performance from Kate Kennedy as she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Kennedy has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Lauren Kyranakis was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Gabby Raysor, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Hebron Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Hebron Christian's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.
