Brockway is 2-8 against Ridgway since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Brockway Rovers will be playing at home against the Ridgway Elker at 7:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Brockway sitting on three straight wins and Ridgway on six.
On Wednesday, Brockway was able to grind out a solid victory over Kane, taking the game 49-38.
Rheanna Spinda and Sophia Schmader were among the main playmakers for Brockway as the former scored 16 points along with five steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Schmader is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Raegan Gelnette, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Ridgway can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Keystone 56-29 on the road. Given Ridgway's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while Keystone is ranked 525th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brockway's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Ridgway, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
