The Gunn Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Saratoga Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-30, which was the final score in Gunn's tilt against Mountain View on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Gunn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 804th, while Mountain View is ranked 303rd).
Meanwhile, Saratoga's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They took a 34-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Milpitas.
This is the second loss in a row for Gunn and nudges their season record down to 8-14. As for Saratoga, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-16.
Gunn came out on top in a nail-biter against Saratoga when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 40-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gunn since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
