Piedmont Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Central Georgia Arts since February of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Piedmont Academy Cougars will host Central Georgia Arts at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Piedmont Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on George Walton Academy with a sharp 12-1 win on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-run performance the game before.

Nick Gervasio tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has become a key player for Piedmont Academy: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-3 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Chase Taylor was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Tyler Griswell was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Piedmont Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as George Walton Academy only managed two hits.
Meanwhile, Central Georgia Arts had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Wildcats.
The team relied heavily on Maddox Brooks, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Scarboro, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
With the win, Piedmont Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3. As for Central Georgia Arts, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
