Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tokay). They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the McNair Eagles on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Jake Koehler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Tokay let Brock Sell and Myles Apalit run wild. Sell scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Apalit scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Tokay is 3-1 when Sell posts two or more runs, but 1-8 otherwise. Conner Preap was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Tokay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Tokay's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for McNair, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Tokay Tigers take on Weston Ranch Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Weston Ranch will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Tokay surely won't give up without a fight. As for McNair, they will be playing at home against Franklin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
