The Evergreen Valley Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Ann Sobrato on Thursday as Evergreen Valley made off with a 61-41 win. The victory was familiar territory for Evergreen Valley who now have four in a row.
Evergreen Valley can attribute much of their success to Ryka Aprameyan, who scored 20 points along with eight steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Aprameyan has scored at least 25% of Evergreen Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lealah Rowden, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Evergreen Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Ann Sobrato, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Evergreen Valley will head out on the road to face off against Monta Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ann Sobrato, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Branham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
