Sierra is 0-10 against the Jaguars since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Sierra Timberwolves will play host again and welcome the Kimball Jaguars, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Sierra will be strutting in after a victory while the Jaguars will be coming in after a loss.
Sierra scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-43 victory over Central Catholic.
Sierra got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emma Gilmore out in front who scored 20 points along with two steals. Gilmore is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mya Everett, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Kimball, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-44 loss to the Buffaloes on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Kimball can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 142nd).
Sierra is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Kimball, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.
