If the Cambridge Springs Devils were riding high off their 65-24 takedown of the Commodore Perry Panthers on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cambridge Springs ended up on the wrong side of a tough 48-22 walloping at the hands of Franklin on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 65 points in the game before, Cambridge Springs couldn't push the score so high this time.
Franklin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamie Blum, who scored ten points along with five steals. The contest was Blum's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Katie Boal was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Cambridge Springs' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Franklin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Cambridge Springs will head out on the road to face off against Maplewood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Franklin will be home for the holidays to greet Cochranton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
