After flying high against the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs last Thursday, the Frazier Commodores came back down to earth. Frazier took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bentworth on Monday. Frazier was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bentworth apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Frazier's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Allie Yauch, who scored 20 points along with four steals, and Malana Burton who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds. Yauch hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Harger, who scored nine points.
Aubrie Logan was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 22 points. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Amber Sallee was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Frazier has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Bentworth, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
Frazier will be playing in front of their home fans against Monessen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monessen will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Bentworth, they will head out on the road to square off against Southmoreland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southmoreland is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
