The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Purchase Line in their matchups with River Valley: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Purchase Line lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jianna Hopkins. Despite the final result, she scored 12 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Purchase Line struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as River Valley racked up 13 assists.
Ava Persichetti continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for River Valley, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds. That makes it seven consecutive games in which Persichetti has scored at least a third of River Valley's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Kitner, who scored 13 points.
Purchase Line's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for River Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
