The Shafter Generals won the last time they faced the Kennedy Thunderbirds, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Shafter came out on top against Kennedy by a score of 3-1. That's two games straight that Shafter has won by exactly two goals.
They hit Kennedy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ayanna Frazier,
Teresita Pelayo, and
Alexis Esparza Ponce.
Shafter's win bumped their record up to 13-9-2. As for Kennedy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16-2 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Chavez the next time they take the pitch. Shafter will head out to face Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Kennedy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
