It was a good run, but the Tamaqua Blue Raiders unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. Their rough 49-29 loss to North Schuylkill might stick with them for a while. Tamaqua has struggled against North Schuylkill recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Tamaqua's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lauren Ligenza, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendle Miller, who scored 12 points.
Tamaqua bumped their record down to 3-1 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for North Schuylkill, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tamaqua will take on Salisbury Township at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Schuylkill, they will head out on the road to face off against Blue Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
