The Christ Prep Academy Patriots will head out on the road to take on the Veritas Christian Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Christ Prep Academy is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Christ Prep Academy ended up a good deal behind Shawnee Mission North and lost 44-30.
Meanwhile, Veritas Christian took a serious blow against Wichita HomeSchool on Saturday, falling 53-21.
Rachael Gaspers put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks. That was a full 81% of Veritas Christian's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Gaspers, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Christ Prep Academy now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Veritas Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Christ Prep Academy took their win against Veritas Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 46-20. Will Christ Prep Academy repeat their success, or does Veritas Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
