Anaheim got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aleah McGregor out in front who scored 20 points along with 6 steals. The matchup was McGregor's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Elise Marquez was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds.
Anaheim's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Whittier, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anaheim will take on California at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. California will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 287th, while Anaheim is ranked 64th). As for Whittier, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Patriot at 4:30 p.m. Patriot comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
