Lincoln Park Performing Arts won the last time they faced the Aliquippa Quips, and things went their way on Monday too. Lincoln Park Performing Arts walked away with a 54-42 victory over Aliquippa. Given Lincoln Park Performing Arts' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Aliquippa is ranked 167th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Sarah Scott, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Syka, who scored 12 points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Lincoln Park Performing Arts' victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Aliquippa, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-3.
Lincoln Park Performing Arts will play host again and welcome Penn-Trafford, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Penn-Trafford has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Aliquippa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
