Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Norco's 13th in Last 14 Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Norco walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Centennial Huskies on Thursday as they made off with a 9-2 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Dylan Seward, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Elijah Alvarez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Norco has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Centennial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-9.

Coming up, Norco will head out on the road to face off against Laguna Beach at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Breakers will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Centennial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
