Meanwhile, Arvin came into Tuesday's   contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with  a   5-1  win over Bakersfield  on Tuesday.
  Roy Rosales made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits (and only one walk). He is becoming a predictor of Arvin's success: when he allows at  most one  earned run the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). Rosales was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 North's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Arvin, their record now sits at 5-6.
