The Ontario Jaguars waltzed into their game Wednesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They managed a 44-39 victory over Sierra Vista. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ontario also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.
Ontario's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grace Poulava, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Poulava is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey McDow, who scored 14 points.
Ontario's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Sierra Vista, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
Ontario won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Montclair at 5:00 p.m. on December 14th. Sierra Vista will be home for the holidays to greet Baldwin Park at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin Park comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
