The Northwest Area Rangers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 70-24 win over Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on the road. That looming 70-24 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northwest Area yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwest Area to victory, but perhaps none more so than Karsyn Miner, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which Miner has scored at least 25% of Northwest Area's points. Another player making a difference was Jordin Bowman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Northwest Area and bumps their season record up to 3-2. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Northwest Area will be home for the holidays to greet Hanover Area at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Columbia Montour Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to face off against Millville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Millville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
