Basketball Game Preview: First Baptist vs. The Webb Schools Gauls

First Baptist will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against The Webb Schools Gauls at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

First Baptist is leaving town to face The Webb Schools after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. First Baptist was dealt a 56-26 defeat at the hands of Avalon back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, The Webb Schools had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Seahawks 39-24.

First Baptist better focus on containing Pristine Thomas and Geniya Parker as the pair were huge in The Webb Schools' win. Thomas dropped a double-double on 17 points and 22 boards, while Parker posted 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Thomas has scored at least a third of The Webb Schools' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Gutierrez, who earned four points and seven boards.

The Webb Schools smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive matches.
