The Truckee Wolverines lost against the South Tahoe Vikings two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Truckee was outmatched by South Tahoe at home and fell 58-14. Truckee has not had much luck with South Tahoe recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Leading South Tahoe to victory were Addie Menke and Campbell Mathews. Menke dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds, while Mathews dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Menke has scored all season. Valeria Diaz was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals.
Truckee has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for South Tahoe, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Truckee will take on Hug at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Truckee is on a four-game streak of home losses, Hug a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. South Tahoe will take on Sparks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sparks comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
