It was a good run, but the Johnstown Christian Bluejays unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Ferndale by a score of 41-39. Johnstown Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ferndale apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
It was another big night for Deajah Chatman, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Ferndale. Chatman hasn't dropped below two blocks for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Maisen Sechrengost, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Johnstown Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-3. As for Ferndale, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-13.
Johnstown Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ferndale, they will head out on the road to challenge Cambria Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
