The La Habra Highlanders will challenge the Foothill Knights at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
La Habra took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged out El Dorado 5-4.

Patrick Castaneda looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because La Habra is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-6-1 otherwise.
At the plate, Austin Stoa was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
La Habra was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, while Foothill put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Irvine. The Knights put the hurt on the Vaqueros with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.
The result came thanks to Jackson Phillips's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jaxon Foshay, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidan Gogley, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.
Foothill's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for La Habra, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.
