Softball Recap: Lutheran Wins Going Away Against St. Joseph's Academy

After losing to St. Joseph's Academy the last time they met, Lutheran decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cougars blew past the Angels 16-8 on Wednesday. Considering the Cougars have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Lutheran and bumps their season record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran will head out to square off against St. Dominic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Joseph's Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Parkway North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
