The Chowchilla Tribe lost against the Fowler Redcats back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Chowchilla fell to Fowler 55-51. Chowchilla has not had much luck with Fowler recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Chowchilla saw an underclassman step up: Nour Escheik dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. Escheik hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 12 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalaya Moore, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Chowchilla's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-11. As for Fowler, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
Chowchilla will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Kings Christian at 6:00 p.m. Kings Christian's defense has only allowed 27.8 points per game this season, so Chowchilla's offense will have their work cut out for them. Fowler does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
