Baseball Recap: San Jacinto's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tahquitz, San Jacinto was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Pacific Ridge Firebirds by a score of 8-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Gage Rodriguez was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for San Jacinto: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Rey Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple.

San Jacinto's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Pacific Ridge, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

San Jacinto wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-3 win against Army-Navy on the 1st. As for Pacific Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-3 loss against Chadwick on the 1st.
