Lone Peak and Skyridge are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2019, but not for long. The Knights will take on the Falcons at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Lone Peak is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Davis, sneaking past 41-38. 41 seems to be a good number for the Knights as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Lone Peak's run defense was locked in: Davis could only muster 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Anthon 'Tony' Grimmer for the heroic effort on defense: he. Lone Peak's defensive line didn't let the opposing QB, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kingston Stroshine, Tagg Zundel, and Tate King, who each picked up one sack apiece. Stroshine was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Lone Peak better keep an eye on Kaneal Sweetwyne. He was instrumental in Skyridge's win, throwing for 403 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 160 yards and one score on only 15 carries. Sweetwyne's longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Lincoln Tahi also helped with two TDs in total.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Skyridge, racking up 14 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Briggs Parker, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Lone Peak couldn't quite finish off Skyridge when the teams last played back in October and fell 37-34. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
