The Legacy Lightning will head out to square off against the Centaurus Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Legacy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last seven matchups.
Last Saturday, Legacy got the win against Silver Creek by a conclusive 14-7. Considering the Lightning have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Kellen Reiser was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Legacy is undefeated when Reiser posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Braidon Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Reiser wasn't the only one making solid contact: Legacy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Centaurus). Their pitcher stepped up to hand Northglenn a 19-0 shutout on Saturday. The Warriors not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21, 2024.
Carter Nelson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Charlie Manning was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Zach Holshey was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
The victory made it two in a row for Centaurus and bumps their season record up to 7-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Legacy, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Legacy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .495. However, it's not like Centaurus struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
