The Roosevelt Rough Riders waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Fresno 44-42. That's another feather in the cap for Roosevelt, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nyleigh Gregory, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Gregory has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatiana Ballinger, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds.
Roosevelt pushed their record up to 19-7 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.6 points per game. As for Fresno, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.
Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Fresno also has no future games currently scheduled.
