The Mingo Central Miners won the last time they faced the WestSide Renegades, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Mingo Central managed a 51-46 win over WestSide. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mingo Central.
Addie Smith was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 23 points along with 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Mingo Central's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalaney Grimmett, who scored 10 points along with 4 steals.
Mingo Central's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for WestSide, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mingo Central will take on Summers County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. WestSide will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on River View at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
