The Bell Gardens Lancers will venture away from home to challenge the Schurr Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bell Gardens will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
On Friday, Bell Gardens took their matchup with ease, bagging a 43-6 win over Mark Keppel. The game marked the Lancers' most dominant victory of the season.
The critical scores for Bell Gardens came from Ian Pablo, Alonzo Ruiz, Bryant Rios, Jonathan Castellon, Angel Contreras, and Andres Espinal.
Meanwhile, Schurr waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Oilers 42-7. The Spartans pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Oilers had little chance of recovering from.
Schurr's win came from a few key players Bell Gardens will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tyler Higashi, who rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Torres, who threw for 231 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes.

Bell Gardens' record is now 7-2. As for Schurr, their record now sits at 6-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Bell Gardens has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 167.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Schurr struggles in that department as they've been averaging 173 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Bell Gardens was dealt a bruising 49-7 defeat at the hands of Schurr in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Lancers were down 21-0.
