This season hasn't been kind to the Cairo Pilots, who are still winless after their fourth match. They took a hard 68-53 fall against Chester on Wednesday. Cairo lost against Chester in their previous head to head back in February of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-45 score last time.
Cairo's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jeserick Pilgram , who scored 21 points. Pilgram scored a full 39.6% of Cairo's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. McKenlee Pirtle was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Cairo's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Chester, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Cairo will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Murphysboro at 5:30 p.m. on December 1st. As for Chester, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Carlyle at 7:30 p.m.
