The Truckee Wolverines can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Friday. They skirted past Hug  32-29. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win Truckee has posted  yet this season.
 Leading Truckee to victory were  Emma Jones and  Sophia Killian.  Jones  scored 11 points, while  Killian  scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Killian has scored all season.
 Despite the  defeat, Hug had strong showings from  Taliyah Henderson, who  scored nine points, and  Andrea Trujillo, who  scored nine points.
 Truckee's win  ended a three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-8. As for Hug, they bumped their record down to 1-12 with that  loss, which was their 13th straight  at home.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Truckee and South Tahoe will face off  at 6:00  p.m.  on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. South Tahoe will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Hug, they will head out on the road to  square off against  North Valleys at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. North Valleys presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hug in Nevada (North Valleys is ranked 20th, while Hug is ranked 90th).
