The Skyline Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight defeat. They lost to Eastlake on the road by a decisive 55-36 margin. While losing is never fun, Skyline can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Wolves are ranked 33rd).
It was another big night for Tatum Wood, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 rebounds for Eastlake. Wood is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Aluas, who scored nine points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Skyline dropped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Eastlake, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.
Skyline does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eastlake will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bothell focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
