The St. Thomas Academy Cadets had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 42-30 win over Alexandria on Friday. Winning may never get old, but St. Thomas Academy sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
It was another big night for Savion Hart, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Hart really tore up the turf during one magnificent 86-yard run.
Despite the loss, Alexandria still got an impressive performance from Chase Thompson, who threw for 347 yards and two touchdowns.
St. Thomas Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Alexandria, their loss dropped their record down to 11-1.
St. Thomas Academy will be staying on the road on November 25th to face off against Chanhassen at 4:00 p.m. on November 25th. Chanhassen is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Alexandria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
